For 30 years, our associates have worked alongside their neighbors to make their communities a better place. From the time The Home Depot’s very first store opened in 1979, giving back to communities has been one of our core values.
Through the efforts of The Home Depot Foundation and Team Depot volunteers, The Home Depot donates millions of dollars and thousands of hours each year to refurbish healthy homes, parks and playgrounds and plant community trees. This is part of a coordinated company strategy to build and support thriving, sustainable neighborhoods across the country.
To honor the company’s 30th anniversary and our legacy of community service, associates in each of our three U.S. divisions completed 30 volunteer projects in 30 days. Just as they do throughout the year, associates will plant community gardens, weatherize low-income homes, clean up wetlands, refurbish schools and parks, and create outdoor classrooms, completing a total of 90 projects nationwide!
